Not much to say other than that, it was certainly one of the easier final boss fights in Zelda history, but it’s not a big deal. The second form was probably my favorite because I got to use multiples of Link, just like in the previous dungeon’s boss fight. It was pretty easy once I figured out what to do (in the third form that is, all the other forms were just plain easy). The final boss fight with Vaati was okay. Yeah, I’ve been playing a lot of Pokemon.Īnyway, those averse to spoilers, don’t read on. I remember two specific parts where there were some floor puzzles where you could only step on each tile once, and I was reminded immediately of Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire in Wallace’s gym. The puzzles were pretty good, and the constant Darknut fights were really irritating. Whether or not I needed the Remote Bombs, any of the heart pieces I got, the sword techniques I learned, or any of the meaningless wallet/item upgrades I did, I did all of that anyway.Īs usual, I don’t have a lot to say about the dungeon, except that it was very long and not very challenging. The first thing I wanted to do was adequately prepare myself for the upcoming boss fight with Vaati. This process was long and boring, though, and I really didn’t feel like doing it, so I stopped and found some pictures for this update.Īnother update! Sorry I couldn’t get this up by Monday, but it took me longer than I thought it would to take care of the review process. I went back to the figurine shop in Hyrule Town and got some more figurines. I went around and continued to fuse a lot more Kinstones at this point, opening up pathways in Hyrule Town, the Western Wood, and just a bunch of places overall. In the Royal Valley, I got the final Joy Butterfly, giving me the ability to swim faster, which is actually really nice. I picked up Piece of Heart #25 and a bunch of Kinstones out in that little area. Okay, back to business, or, at least, my original business.īefore heading over to the Royal Valley, I remembered a place where I could use four Links- The schoolyard in Hyrule Town. Turn off the game soundtrack and just play this for the entirety of the endgameĪfter using the key and finding the Dungeon Map, I was able to get out into the Castle Garden. He gave me a key to help me get out of the castle. I was able to find the real King, however, so I saved his royal butt. I went around helping people out, expecting rewards, but all I got was a Dark Hyrule Castle and apparently no way out, even though I wasn’t quite ready to face the end of the game yet.
Uh oh, everyone had been turned to stone by Vaati’s magic. It seems that this would be the logical next step in the Link-Vaati relationship Then, I went to go fuse Kinstones with a bunch of people, and a bunch of random stuff happened: A Goron merchant moved into town, another Goron finally managed to break through a wall, only to be stopped by a bigger wall, a bunch of treasure chests appeared in a bunch of different places, and butterflies appeared in Castor Wilds, Royal Valley, and Wind Ruins. This has nothing to do with the update, I just thought it was funny
The beanstalk led me to Heart Piece #24 (Container #14!), and some rupees and shells I didn’t need! Yay! Oh, how I wish I knew how to upgrade my wallet. I was also able to explore a cave with a ton of Kinstone pieces, which led me to an enormous beanstalk. A few moments later, I was able to pick up Heart Piece #23 in the middle of Lake Hylia by jumping to it. This first one I actually already knew about, and since I was in town, I’d figure I’d fly into the bell and grab it: Heart Piece #22. The next thing was to grab a couple of Heart Pieces. There was still one Tiger Scroll that was missing, so I’m just assuming I must have lost the opportunity to get it because I didn’t fuse enough Kinstones or something. Not sure if there’s much use for them, but we’ll see, I guess. I learned the Dash Attack and the Down Thrust. Actually, the true first order of business was to go back over to Swiftblade’s dungeon and learn all the sword techniques I had forgotten to get (as I was reminded via PM by one of my loyal followers). My first order of business was to take care of some stuff that immediately came to my mind after getting Roc’s Cape.
